Stop Choosing Mr Wrong!!

Do you always seem to go for the wrong guy? You think he's Mr Right but he turns out to be a waste of space in the end. Perhaps he lets you down by being unfaithful or he just won't commit to any kind of recognizable 'relationship.' Maybe he seems great at first but ends up putting you down and treating you badly. And what's more, you've found yourself putting up with being treated badly by a guy.

Reading the signs

It's true that you don't know what someone's really like immediately but there are always signs if you are clear headed enough to know what to look for.

The trouble is when you're infatuated or 'in lust' you don't see the wood for the trees. There are things wrong in the relationship that you just don't want to see. You make excuses for all those little signs that it just won't work in the long term. Or maybe you've been falling into the trap of the 'I'm the one who can change him!' (This is perhaps the biggest relationship trap of them all).

Infatuation stops straight thinking

Infatuation stops you thinking straight. Strong emotion is what makes you pick the wrong guy and stops you seeing what's really going on. You end up feeling hurt and stupid.

What about all those nice guys?

Then there's the guys you know would be faithful wonderful partners but they just don't do it for you. They're 'too nice' and not exciting. But there has to be a middle way; a guy who is stimulating and good long term partner material.

The reason that the 'nice guy' may not always do it for you is that being too nice may also indicate lack of courage. Women like brave men because brave mates are, from an evolutionary point of view, better able to survive. So if you are not attracted to a man who seems too kind there may be good reasons for this but you need to find a balance.

Dating savvy

In order to find a man you are attracted to but who is also good for you and knows how to support you, you need to really think about what is important to you then keep your head when you start dating so that you can clearly see what is in front of you.

The common mistakes when dating Mr Wrong are:

Making excuses for him
Blaming yourself
To avoid this you need to give him responsibility for his own behavior and make him accountable for his own behavior. So if he flirts outrageously with your best friend you need to really know it's his behavior not a reflection of you.

Falling for the wrong guy - what's important to you?

So if reliability and trust are important to you then does his behavior generally meet your criteria? If the answer is no then you need to really look at what's going on and keep a part of yourself detached. True love takes time to develop - infatuation and desperation blind you.

Bad men habits

If you have low self-esteem because of the way you have been conditioned in life then you may have got into the habit of going for and staying with men who treat you badly. If this is the case them you need to think about what you really need not what you think you want. The way to do this is to calm down and see clearly.

Relationships go wrong because people can't see clearly what's really going on.

This session will help you relax in relationships, enjoy them but also see clearly and know how to act for the best - because if you don't look out for yourself who will?

How to Choose a Husband

Choosing the right husband is just as important as choosing the right shoes that go with the handbag, that goes with the belt, that goes with the dress, that goes with the house that Jack built. Wait a minute, something in that sentence isn't right . . .
Back to the point: Marriage is or, rather, should be a lifetime commitment. With that in mind, there are a number of qualities a woman must keep in mind when choosing her partner.

Step 1:Think outside the box. You know that box--the one that holds the journal you wrote when you were a pre-teen and lay next to your dollhouse, gazing at the newly re-arranged furniture and decided what your future mate would look like, smell like, talk like. The sky-rocketing divorce statistics show that we don't always choose the one that best suits us, but rather choose the one who looks the best. A recent magazine survey showed that only 44 percent of the 3,000 married women who were surveyed said they would marry their husbands a second time. Ouch.

Step 2:Find a man who has the same moral values, social skills, political affiliations and financial status as you. This will make your march down the aisle a lot smoother.

Step 3:Avoid the drop-dead gorgeous brawny man. Men with muscular physiques were rated nearly twice as sexy as non-muscular men, but they were also rated twice as intimidating and dominant. "Most women wouldn't choose to marry Brad Pitt because he has so many short-term dating opportunities," researcher David Frederick concluded after conducting a study of 300 college women. He found most women believe that someone that good-looking would not remain faithful to them. "The average woman would probably go for the Ray Romano guy as the long-term marriage partner," he said.

Step 4:Be smart. Choose a husband who is at least as intelligent as you. Marriage expert Dr. Willard F. Harley, Jr. writes, "You and he should be roughly equivalent in intelligence, within about 15 IQ points. "

Tips & Warnings
Opposites may attract, but they also counteract. Political opposites have married and seemed successful, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, and James Carville and Mary Matlin. For the most part, however, a marriage does not survive or thrive in a constantly combative existence. Now if politics are not important to you, well then, enough said. Financial status encompasses earning potential and expectations of who will be the main breadwinner, if either partner is to be designated as such. Ask your candidate if he would support you while you pursue an education or have children. Socially, a shy, awkward or retiring man may eventually come out of his shell, but if an active social life is important to you, don't count on changing a man's personality. In a study presented at the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality in San Diego, it was stated, "When women are choosing mates--except for very attractive women--they're facing a trade-off of choosing a guy who's very sexy or one who will stick around and treat them well." Gordon G. Gallup, Jr., a professor of psychology at the State University of New York at Albany, said the study findings probably reflect human habits developed through evolution. "When women choose husbands, they may be seeking men who will invest in the family and their offspring and make a long-term, committed investment in the relationship."Without having to take an IQ test, you can usually figure the intelligence quotient of your future mate by comparing grades in school, although men are notorious underachievers in high school. College grades are a better measure of intelligence for both men and women. The quality of your conversation is another good indicator of compatible intelligence. Men who are stimulating to talk to are usually in your league intellectually. But if there is a large gap between you in IQ, both of you will tend to be bored by your conversation.Be open-minded. Don't get locked into finding a perfect fit. One or two discrepancies are manageable

Four Signs Your Relationship is Moving Too Fast

You may think your new romance is perfectly paced. But are things really moving too fast?
Credit: Cristina Chirtes | © The definition of "too fast" in a relationship is typically subjective. Some people who are accustomed to the dating scene often claim to know exactly what they're looking for. Divorced people also claim that their status makes it easier to weed through potential dates. In short, every person has a timetable that he or she is comfortable with. But regardless of whether your new romance develops in three days or three months, there are usually some signs that things are moving too quickly for either party.

You Have Completely Forgotten Your Friends

It is natural for you to want to spend just about every waking moment with your new love. But if you haven't spoken/texted/called any of your close friends or family---and, you didn't even realize it until it was brought to your attention—-then you might be falling too hard, too fast. Like a kid with a new toy, people are often blinded by the exhilaration of a fresh relationship. Taking some time to cultivate things is normal. But if you're completely unconcerned with the goings on of your loved ones, perhaps you should come up for air just a bit.

You Get That Nervous "Roller Coaster" Feeling...A Lot

You know that feeling you get when you're about to plunge down the first big hill on a roller coaster? You believe that you'll make it through the experience in one piece. But in the back of your mind, you know that things could go horribly wrong. Ultimately, this is what fuels your excitement. The same thing could be said about relationships. Falling in love is exciting. But you should pay close attention to this "teetering over the edge" feeling, especially if it occurs quite frequently. A few butterflies in the stomach is normal. But when that sense of impending "doom" lingers too long, it might mean that you're still not quite sure about the other person...

How do women choose Mr Right: It's in his kiss!(Daily Mail)
Updated: 2007-09-03 14:18

Winning a first kiss is enough of a challenge for most male suitors.

But getting the act itself right may be even more important - because apparently it can determine whether a relationship blooms.

According to scientists, women often judge men exclusively on the quality of the first kiss.

The pressure to perform, they say, rests mainly with men, because women have developed kissing as an evolutionary tool to find the right father for their children.

The research into the psychology of kissing uncovered a "complicated exchange of information" during a kiss.

Tongue contact and the exchange of saliva were found to help both sexes make subconscious assessments about each other. Women's breath can indicate hormone levels and fertility, while male saliva will have traces of the sex hormone testosterone.

How Females Choose Their Mr. Right
For most of us, the mystery of what attracts a female to a male has remained just that, a mystery. Many choose to believe that the possibility of love, common goals, and the heart are the key motivators that influence a woman in making her final decision on choosing her Mr. Right. Generally speaking, women are impressionable creatures that are driven by emotion. Due to Hollywood’s craze with love, romance, and cookie cutter relationships that fit the American ideal, women are being led into a search for idealism that may or may not exist. Due to women being highly impressionable, it seems that Hollywood films have manipulated their way into women’s minds and now they are running the streets in search for their prince charming or their personal equivalent to Brad Pitt. While this all may be true, some still choose to rely on a more verifiable explanation of how women choose their Mr. Right; an explanation that employs extensive behavioral studies.
Why Females are More Selective than Males
It has been said that women are far more selective in their dating and mating choices because of their limited supply of eggs. The female reproductive system limits the number of eggs a woman can produce in order to conceive, while their male counterparts are able to produce an endless stream of sperm. Since females have a limited supply of eggs, they have a lower chance of reproduction than males. This explains why men are more frivolous when it comes to short term and longer term mating choices, because they really have nothing to lose. Additionally, since the beginning of time men have proudly worn the title of the provider and protector. Because of their strength, men are expected to protect their fragile women and children and provide food to put on the table and a roof to go over the family’s head. It is undeniable that times have changed and women are far more independent in this age than they were in the cave ages. But, when it boils down to basics, women in 2009 choose their Mr. Right on the same principles that women in the cave ages did.

What Attracts Women to Men
Plain and simple, women are attracted to men that are masculine. As mentioned above, women are attracted to men that can provide for them and protect them. The physical features that women find attractive in men are strong jaws, pronounced noses, broad shoulders, defined muscles, bright eyes and a full head of hair. If a man possesses each of these traits, he is considered to be the ideal “physical man.” However, not all women choose their Mr. Right based solely on looks. Nowadays, women are making their decisions based on both the personality and physical factors. Women want men that are honest, personable, considerate, unselfish, and who have a successful career. On another note, there has been doubt as to whether women choose their mates based on instinct or imitation. In the 1990s Scandinavian researches conducted a study to determine whether females are attracted to certain males based on their instincts or by imitation. The study determined that females favor males that have lots of female attention as opposed to the males who have a shortage of female attention.
